350 New Jobs Headed to Sikeston

SIKESTON, MO - Orgill Inc. will build a new distribution center in Sikeston, eventually bringing 350 jobs to the southeast Missouri community.

The decision was announced Wednesday.  Orgill is an independent distributor of home improvement products.

Sikeston Economic Development chief Ed Dust called the decision one of the best things to happen to Sikeston in a long time.

The distribution center will be built on a 70-acre site just north of town in Sikeston's Industrial Park.  Construction begins next month with completion in about a year.

Mayor Mike Marshall says the facility will employ 150 when it opens and grow to about 350 in five years.
