Marmaduke Mother Charged in Her Baby's Death

MARMADUKE, AR (KAIT) - Kelly Honeycutt, the mother who called police in June about her dead child Ethan Del Ray Roberts, has been charged with manslaughter.

Police have told Region 8 News in the past that Honeycutt's 1-year-old had been dead for at least 24 hours before she called anyone to report her child had died.  Now, she faces manslaughter charges after an autopsy confirmed the child died at least a day before she notified authorities.

Honeycutt will be in court Thursday morning at 9:30 in Paragould.  She says her child drowned in the bathtub.

Police Chief Steve Franks says CID investigator Scott Chambers and Arkansas State Police have been working on the case for the past few weeks.
