Fire at Tuxedo/Bridal Shops

JONESBORO, AR - Jonesboro firefighters are on the scene this afternoon in the southwest section of the city after a fire late this morning at Guy's Tuxedo and Clark's Bridal & Formal Wear.

Firemen were called to the scene shortly after 11 a.m. at the businesses at 436 Southwest Drive.  Sources tell Region 8 News the fire appears to have started in a dressing room in the tuxedo shop, and mostly smoke and a few flames spread into the bridal shop.

No injuries have been reported, and the fire is under control, though firefighters have struggled somewhat with the extreme heat, both from the flames and the weather conditions.

Four JFD trucks responded to the blaze, and three are still on the scene at this time.
