JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A national survey shows gas prices continue dropping.

In Arkansas, the average price at the pump for Monday is $3.65 a gallon, or roughly 16 cents cheaper than the national average of $3.81.

The latest reports from GasBuddy.com on the Region 8 Pump Patrol page show gas in Jonesboro hovering around $3.53 for late Sunday/early Monday.

The highest gas in Region 8 comes from Mountain Home, where prices are still hovering around the $3.79 mark.

Most gas in Southeast Missouri hovers around the $3.64 mark, as seen in Poplar Bluff, with some pumps charging slightly more or less.

If you're planning to visit Hot Springs, you will find the cheapest gas in the state there, at just $3.38 a gallon when last reported.

Friday, when prices nationally were at around $3.85, the cheapest gas was in Tulsa, Okla., where a gallon of regular cost $3.50. Anchorage, Alaska, was most expensive at $4.37. The Western states were the only region in the U.S. where gas remained above $4 a gallon on average. The California average was $4.11, down 27 cents from two weeks ago.
