Search On for Blytheville Bank Robber

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Blytheville police and the FBI are searching for a man who robbed a local bank on Tuesday.

Blytheville police responded to a robbery at the First National Bank at 1040 E. Main Street Tuesday afternoon around 2:30.  The suspect was described as a "white male gunman" who went into the bank and demanded money.  After collecting an undetermined amount of cash, the bandit left the bank through the north exit and left the bank going east.

An intense search soon followed, that included the use of the Mississippi County Sheriff's Dept. helicopter, but the suspect was not found.
