Boy, 16, Charged as Adult in West Memphis Slaying

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (AP) - A 16-year-old from West Memphis will be charged as an adult in the shooting death of another man. West Memphis police Capt. Donald Oakes says Timothy Allen was arrested last week and charged with first-degree murder over the death of Myron Crawford, 27.

Oakes says the fight started over a domestic dispute between the two men. Oakes says a 21-year-old woman who was dating Allen previously had had a child with Crawford.

Police say the woman and child were present during the argument. Crawford is the second homicide victim in West Memphis this year.
