Dalai Lama in Hospital

Mumbai, India (KAIT) - The Dalai Lama was admitted into a hospital in India Thursday for minor abdominal pains.

According to his spokesperson, the Dalai Lama has routine check-ups every six months and at his last one, he was just fine.

However, during Thursday's doctor visit, the Dalai Lama experienced some abdominal pains and was admitted into a hospital in Mumbia, India.

He is reported to be doing fine, but has cancelled his trips for the next three weeks to the Dominican Republic and Mexico.

The Dalai Lama is expected to recover with no complications, but will remain in the Mumbia hospital for the next couple days.

His tests will not begin until Friday afternoon.
