Many Gustav Evacuees Now Heading Home

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - According to the American Red Cross, families from the Gulf Coast who have been guests of Mississippi County over the past week are returning home today.  The American Red Cross shelter in Osceola has been closed, and only two more families are believed to still be in Osceola hotels.

In Jonesboro, the Red Cross reports that six people remain in a shelter at the First Presbyterian Church.  But, volunteers at the shelter say seven new evacuess registered today, who are expected to spend this evening.  Approximately 90 evacuees remain in Jonesboro-area hotels.
