Tropical Depression Ike knocking down trees, power lines in Region 8

Jonesboro, AR (KAIT) - Tropical Depression Ike has caused at least one injury in Region 8.  Numerous trees and power lines are down in Region 8. 

One person was injured in Jonesboro when the storm blew a tree into a house.  Parts of Region 8 are without power at this hour including Bono and Egypt.  Trees are down on roadways all over the area.  The storm is expected to pass over the next few hours.  The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning with wind gusts as high as 60 mph. 

Emergency Management is asking residents to stay indoors for the next few hours until the storm passes over.
