Offbeat: Early Teal Season

By Bob Snell - bio | email feedback

AMAGON, AR--

It's time once again to hunt ducks in Arkansas, but not the big ducks, the little ones called Teal.  They're fast, they're furious and they're tough to hit, but waterfowl hunters love the challenge of hunting teal.

Teal season usually comes in during the second weeekend of September and lasts for two weeks.  Each hunter is limited to four teal per day.
