Sixth Tornado Confirmed in Arkansas from Ike

LITTLE ROCK (AP) - The National Weather Service said Thursday it has confirmed a sixth tornado from the remnants of Hurricane Ike last weekend.

The weather service said the twister touched down in Perry County on Saturday. Other counties affected by the tornadoes included Garland, Hot Spring, Lonoke, and Saline. All six were rated EF1 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale, meaning winds of 86 mph to 110 mph.

A northeast Arkansas man was killed in the storms.
