JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - U.S. Marshals this morning arrested a Jonesboro man in Oklahoma City.

Marshal Bob Clark told Region 8 News that 25-year-old Tyrone Jackson was taken into custody at approximately 6:30 a.m. at the apartment of a female acquaintance, for his alleged role in a September 10 homicide just across the state line from St. Louis, in Centralia, Illinois.  Jackson allegedly spent two weeks in Jonesboro hiding from authorities, before heading to Oklahoma.

Jackson is currently in an Oklahoma City jail, awaiting extradition to Illinois.

U.S. Marshals were assisted in their investigation by the Jonesboro Police Department and its Prowl unit.
