300 Jobs Coming to Jonesboro

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Sani+Hands will be the newest business to come to Jonesboro, bringing with it 300 new jobs.

Nice-Pak, the parent company, plans to open the factory in what was the former Haworth building on U.S. 63 on the southern edge of Jonesboro. The company will invest $40 million into the facility, a 630,000-square-foot facility.

"Nice-Pak is another growing company that is discovering the positive role that Jonesboro and Arkansas can play in that growth," Governor Mike Beebe said. "We are excited to see these quality jobs coming to Northeast Arkansas, and we appreciate Nice-Pak's decision to make a substantial investment here."

"We are excited that Nice Pak has selected Jonesboro as the location for its new manufacturing facility and look forward to Nice-Pak being part of our community,"  said Mark Young, president and CEO of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Nice-Pak has three additional facilities in the U.S. in New York, Indiana and Wisconsin, as well as manufacturing facilities in North Wales and Germany. The company is headquartered in Orangeburg, New York.

The company plans to begin production before the end of the year.
