Crowley's Ridge State Park Celebrates 75th Anniversary of Parks System

WALCOTT, Ark. (AP) - Arkansans are celebrating the 75th anniversary of Arkansas state parks. At Crowley's Ridge State Park in Greene County, about 450 Cub Scouts took part in the celebration. They crowded campsites and built campfires. There was a park history scavenger hunt, hikes, and games. Crowley's Ridge is one of the first five state parks in Arkansas. The Civilian Conservation Corps helped build the park in the first year of that Depression-era organization.
