LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Heading into the final full week of campaigning before the November 4th election, many voters have already cast their ballots. The secretary of state's office says that since early voting began Monday, 130,540 Arkansans voted by the end of the work week.
Secretary of State Charlie Daniels predicts a generous turnout this presidential election year from among the 1.6 million Arkansans registered to vote. He's predicting between 65 and 70 percent will go to the polls.
Absentee and early voters usually make up about a third of all votes cast.
