A report filed Wednesday says the gun was stolen while the police car was being fixeed at the city shop.

The FN Police 12-gauge pump shotgun is valued at $300. The weapon was discovered missing on Tuesday when the officer checked the trunk of the vehicle before going out on rounds.

The car was taken to the city shop on Oct. 20, and it was parked outside the shop after the repairs were complete. The report said there was no sign of forced entry to the vehicle.
