Police Investigate Halloween Attack

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Columbia police are investigating a Halloween night attack that resulted in some banged-up Trick-or-Treaters. Police say a group six or seven boys ages 9 to 11 attacked two 12-year-olds who were out gathering candy Friday night.

The boys told police that a member of the group said, "Give me your candy," and another threw a rock, hitting one of the boys in the head. The group then rushed forward hitting the same victim with a plastic BB gun, cutting his head, and knocking out one of his teeth.

The other boy was struck in the head with an unknown object. The boys hung on to their candy and the group of attackers fled. Police Sgt. Chris Kelley says the victims couldn't provide detailed descriptions of their attackers.
