Traffic Crash Near Stuttgart Kills 2, Injures 3

STUTTGART, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say a head-on car crash north of Stuttgart killed two people and injured three others.

Troopers say Maurice E. Spain, 82, and Deana K. Spain, 55, of Pine Bluff died in the crash Thursday afternoon on U.S. 79.

A police report on the crash says a 2005 Nissan driven by Adam L. Smith, 17, of Biscoe crossed the centerline and struck a 2005 Honda driven by Deana Spain. Troopers say James T. Spain, 83, of Pine Bluff, Ayla Smith, 13, of Biscoe and Adam Smith were injured in the collision.
