Arsonist Strikes at Site of New School in Trumann

TRUMANN, AR (KAIT) - Police and school administrators in Trumann this morning are investigating what appears to be the work of an arsonist at the construction site where a new high school is being built.

A spokeswoman with the superintendent's office told Region 8 News the fire apparently occured at some point over the holiday weekend and the damage was not discovered until this morning.  The extent of the damage is not known, but the spokeswoman described the site as "pretty pitiful."

No other details are available at this time, but Region 8 News has a crew en route to the scene and will have more information as it becomes available.
