New Missouri License Tags Benefit Spaying/Neutering

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KAIT) - The Show-Me State will be showing off new "I'm Pet Friendly" license plates that will fund the Missouri Pet Spay and Neuter Fund.

Eligible humane socities and local municipal animal shelters will benefit from the fund, which was created by the Missouri Department of Agriculture.

Each license tag sold will donate $20 to the Missouri Pet Spay/Neuter Fund.

To purchase the plates, one must pay $25 to the Missouri State Humane Association to receive an "emblem-use authorization." The new plate can be acquired by then submitting the authorization, along with $15 for a specialty license plate fee, to the Department of Revenue.
