Hughes Man Buys Vehicle on eBay, Robbed While Paying for It

EARLE, AR (KAIT) - A man trying to buy a truck from the Internet found himself at gunpoint, robbed of all $6,000 in cash he had intended to purchase the truck with.

It happened Monday night. According to the Times-Herald of Forrest City, Ozell Craft of Hughes used the popular auction website eBay to buy a Mercury Mountaineer from a seller, but when Craft went to complete the deal, he was robbed.

The report describes Craft as having given the man known only as "Greg" a bag filled with $6,000 and then asking for the title. The man then allegedly pulled a pistol out of his vehicle and told Craft to back up, then left the scene in the Mercury Mountaineer.

The suspect is described as a black male with several gold teeth, in a gold Mercury Mountaineer with chrome wheels.
