Hayti Man Charged With Raping 15-Year-Old Girl

HAYTI, MO (KAIT) - A 44-year-old Hayti man is charged with forcibly raping a 15-year-old girl.

Jerry D. Jordan is charged with raping the juvenile shortly after midnight Saturday, December 13th. According to police, the juvenile reported she was staying the night at her friend's house.

After her friend fell asleep, the juvenile says Jordan held her down and raped her.

Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney Michael B. Hazel and Judge Byron Luber issued a search warrant and after officers began their search, they located several pieces evidence they say may contain biological evidence from when the rape took place.

Investigators arrested Jordan on charges of forcible rape and forcible sodomy.

Jordan was jailed Sunday at the Pemiscot County Justice Center and is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
