Two Nuns Robbed at Gunpoint at Church

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. (KFVS12) - Police are investigating an armed robbery in Caruthersville after someone took a cell phone and a purse from two nuns at gunpoint Friday.
Caruthersville Police Chief Chris Riggs says officers responded to a call to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church around 9:40 p.m. Friday.
The nuns told the officers they were walking to the parking lot of the church when a man approached them, displayed a gun, and took a purse and cell phone.  Police say the nuns said the man forced them back into the school before leaving on foot.
Police say the suspect is described as an 18 to 24-year-old male, about 5'6" with a slender build.  He was wearing all black clothing and a white mask.
Neither woman was injured in the robbery.
