Two face kidnapping charges in Baxter County

Mountain Home (KAIT) - Two Missouri men are facing kidnapping charges after Baxter County deputies say the pair abducted a man from the Country Life Mobile Home Park near Midway.

Saturday afternoon, officers say Craig Anthony Winchell, 52, and George Scott Smith 53, both of Oasge Beach, Missouri abducted Warren S. Willette, 40 of Midway.  Smith and Winchell brought Willette to the Miller County Missouri Sheriff's office Saturday night claiming Willette had sometime previously taken money from them.  During the investigation, officers found out that Willette had been forcefully taken by the two and threatened with a knife.  Inside the vehicle, police found weapons, rope, tape, and guns.

Both Winchell and Smith are in the Miller County, Missouri jail awaiting extradition to Arkansas where they will be facing kidnapping charges and a $500,000 bond each.
