Level 4 Sex Offender Temporarily Residing in Baxter County

BAXTER CO, AR (KAIT) - Press Release from Baxter County Sheriff's Office:

The Sheriff's Office is notifying the public that a Level 4 Registered Sex Offender (Sexually Violent Predator) is now temporarily residing in Baxter County.

NAME: Donald L. Raney

DATE OF BIRTH: May 1, 1959

HOME ADDRESS: 186 CR 87
Mountain Home, AR 72653

The offender was convicted of Sexual Battery on April 2, 2002. This conviction involved the offender engaging in forcible sexual contact with an adult female. The offender has a history of multiple, violent sexual offenses.

This person is not wanted by law enforcement at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public. This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass Registered Sex Offenders. Citizen abuse will not be tolerated. Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement's ability to do community notification.
