Multi Car Accident Sends Several People To The Hospital

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) --  "I saw the van slide out of control. I didn't realize it was slick, and I pumped my brakes and realized it was slick," said one driver who saw the accident.

A Monday night multi car accident sends several people to local hospitals.

"We had two engines, our rescue truck, and two battalion chiefs were here on the scene," said Jonesboro Fire Department Battalion Chief, Alan Dunn. 

The accident happened on the Stadium overpass near ASU. The accident, Monday afternoon, brought traffic to a standstill. Officials say as many as 9 cars were involved....including a car that slid down a hill. Weather conditions were less than ideal during the time of the accident.  Officials are working to determine exactly who or what caused the accident. Officials say none of those injured appeared to have life threatening injuries.
