Craighead, County, AR (KAIT) - Update:  One person is dead after a five car accident on Highway 226 Southwest of Jonesboro according to a Region 8 News crew on the scene.

The Arkansas State Police closed the road for much of Saturday morning because of the blowing dust and wrecked vehicles.  Besides the one death, several others were taken to the hospital after at least two wrecks on the highway.  The preliminary cause according to one witness was dust blowing across the road from a nearby field or fields.  Region 8 News will have much more on this story on Region 8 News at Six.
