RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) - A developer has put on hold plans to build a large shopping center north of Interstate 40 in Russellville.
Russellville Chamber of Commerce president Jeff Pipkin says McGill Property Group had planned to break ground last October on the 460,000-square-foot retail development. The first phase of the center was to have opened later this year.
Pipkin says he is still waiting for word from MBC Holdings on plans for a second retail center. That project was announced last year and is to encompass 400,000 square feet and feature major department stores and a 14-screen movie theater.
