Wearing Pajamas for a Good Cause

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -- Basketball fans were encouraged to come cheer for the Lady Red Wolves on Sunday in their pajamas. The ASU Beck Pride Center paired with the Pajama Program to benefit children in need locally and in Iraq.

For "Pajammin' With the Lady Red Wolves" fans are encouraged to not only wear p.j's of their own, but to bring a pair of new pajamas to the basketball game.

The collected sets of pajamas will be sorted and taken to different areas.

"200 pairs will go to Iraq to children that are in need and given to the iraqi children, and ones that we don't distribute there, the pajamaprogram.org will distribute locally to children in need," said Susan Tonymon with the Beck Pride Center.

Kids under 12 who wear pajamas or brought a new pair for donation got into the game free. Adults who wore their p.j's or brought in a new pair got in for $5.
