NEW DEVELOPMENTS: 2 Arrested, Victim Name Released in Clover Bend Body Case

POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - Two are in custody and the deceased victim's name is now known in the cross-county line case of the man who's body was found.

51-year-old Ronald D. Cathey of Pocahontas was found dead Saturday evening on the bank of Black River near Clover Bend.

Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble released the name Tuesday and also told Region 8 News that two suspects have since been arrested: one male and one female. But Tribble is not yet releasing the suspects' names. He says the investigation is ongoing.

CLOVER BEND, AR (KAIT) -- Police find a body Saturday evening on the bank of Black River near Clover Bend and suspect crime.

Following a call shortly after 5 p.m., the news release states Lawrence County authorities found an adult male body. After further officials and Arkansas State Police investigated, they came to the conclusion that the crime resulting in this death took place in Randolph County.

It was then that Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble was notified, with the case being passed to his investigators.

Officers do have the name of a possible suspect but are not releasing it, nor the victim's name, at this time.

As for the suspect, previous reports indicate that authorities are looking for a white man in his late teens or early twenties driving a 2000- 2003 black F-150 Ford pickup.  He may be with two female passengers and an 8 year old boy.  Police consider him armed and dangerous.
