CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -- Now that most of the ice has melted away, cleanup is underway in Brookland. Branches are piled up on the side of the road which is a sign that the town is recovering.
"It will probably take three or four months for it all to get cleaned up and hauled off. It will probably never be like it was but you've got to start somewhere and rebuild and go on," said Brookland resident Bill McLaughlin.
There are some broken power poles in town and some are still without power. Craighead Electric crews were in town on Sunday working to get the power back on.
