Suspected Check Forger Caught On Tape

Jonesboro-- Let's face it, we are in a slump. We only have two arrests so far this year. Maybe this week's crime of the week will net us a fresh stamp.

Take a look at this video from Focus Bank and JPD. There is our suspect. Jonesboro Police say this man is trying to forge a check. As the story goes, the victim says her car was broken into and her wallet and checks stolen. A few days later, JPD says this man tried to cash one of those checks for $300.

If you think you know this suspected check forger, it's worth a real check. Call Crimestoppers right now with your anonymous tip, 935-STOP.

On to Warrant Watch and two guys who are buried up to their necks in warrants. Let's keep it alphabetical and start with Gerald J. Boyd. Mister Boyd's ten warrants are going to look pretty thin in a little bit. He has seven non-payment of fines and three public service warrants.

That's nothin' compared to Ronnie G. Brewer. Are you sitting down? he has 24 non-payment of fines warrants out of Jonesboro.

Do you know them? being able to lead police to Gerald Boyd or Ronnie Brewer is worth cash. Call Crimestoppers and get your tip number, 935-STOP. Then, keep watching each week for your suspect to get the stamp. When you see it, call or email Sgt. Steve McDaniel and tell him your tip number. He'll tell you if your tip is worth cash. And remember, when you see crime, call Crimestoppers, 935-STOP.
