JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-- It's been said, "necessity is the mother of invention." Two Region 8 men are hoping their new invention will soon be a necessity for every bow hunter.
If you're a bow hunter then you know, sighting in your bow for hunting season is a time consuming and tedious process. After losing and ruining a few arrows, James Jones decided there had to be a better way, so he invented one.
"Something just snapped," said Jones. "I used a bore laser to sight in my rifle and figured an arrow shaft is similar. I thought, why not put a laser in the shaft of an arrow, it should achieve the same function as the bore laser in a rifle."
One of Jones' coworkers overheard him talking about it and said he wanted to partner with Jones. The odd thing is, that partner had never used a bow, but knew a good idea when he heard it.
