LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas-Little Rock coach Steve Shields has kicked leading scorer Steven Moore off the team.
Shields said he met with Moore on Monday and told him it was in the best interest of the team to move forward without him. Moore averaged 13.6 points per game. Moore had been suspended since a Feb. 19 loss to Western Kentucky in which he was benched and went into the Stephens Center tunnel, then sat in the stands for a time.
The Trojans (20-7, 13-3) have clinched the Sun Belt Conference Western Division and close out the regular season with home games this week against New Orleans and Louisiana-Lafayette.
