Reports: Plane crashes on landing in Europe

AMSTERDAM (AP) - Dutch media is reporting that emergency services are treating injured passengers from a Turkish plane that crashed while attempting to land at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.

The plane reportedly broke apart into three pieces and the wreckage is lying in a field next to the runway. An airport spokeswoman told Dutch NOS news that all flights to and from Schiphol have been suspended.

A photo shown by the NOS shows the plane in three pieces in a muddy field. It doesn't appear that the plane caught fire after the crash.

In Turkey, Dogan news agency reports there were 135 passengers on board the flight from Istanbul to Amsterdam.
