Auburn tops Arkansas 94-57 for SEC crown

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - DeWanna Bonner scored 25 points and No. 7 Auburn clinched its first SEC title in 20 years with a 94-57 win over Arkansas on Sunday.

The Tigers (27-2, 12-2 Southeastern Conference) rolled to a 22-point halftime cushion to eliminate most of the drama in a bid to edge Vanderbilt for their first regular-season title since 1989.

Bonner added seven rebounds and made 10 of 11 free throws in her final regular-season game. Sherell Hobbs added 18 points - 16 in the first half - and Whitney Boddie had 10 points and eight assists in their home finales.

The Tigers finished 12-0 at home this season.

Whitney Jones led Arkansas with 23 points.

Auburn equaled the most points scored in an SEC matchup this season and had the widest victory margin.
