Hardy, AR -- (KAIT) A horrifying scene greeted animal rescuers inside a Hardy home late Friday afternoon. Feces, dog food, and filth covered the floor. Northeast Arkansans for Animals assisted Hardy police in removing more than 3 dozen dogs, cats, rabbits, even a rat from the home. Police say the woman living in the home apparently left town, leaving the animals to fend for themselves. Three dogs did not make it. The living conditions were deplorable. It wasn't just filth and feces police found. They also say they discovered a stash of drugs.
