Historic SGA elections held at A-State

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - While President Barack Obama's election was historic on the national level, on a much smaller scale, history was made in Arkansas State University's student government elections.

For the first time in the school's history, a sitting President was reelected.

Ryan Beaird will serve as student body President, while Kimberly Winchester will serve as Vice-President.

Beaird and his vice president will be re-sworn in April 14, 2010.

This year's SGA election was also the one with the largest voter turn-out in ASU history.
