JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -The sound of music from one group will both feed the soul and bellies of those going hungry.

Members of Arkansas State University’s Wind Ensemble have teamed up with the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas to help those in need.

The group will present a Holiday Concert on Dec. 2 and the price of admission is a non-perishable food item or money donation.

Conductor of the A-State Wind Ensemble Dr. Timothy Oliver said he and ensemble members are excited to be a part of helping others.

“The holiday season and music are intertwined,” Dr. Oliver said. “During this season of giving, we welcome the opportunity to collaborate with the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas to present this concert to start the holiday season and to help members of our community.”

The concert will begin at 2 p.m. at the Fowler Center in Riceland Hall.

For more details about this concert or any other A-State music event, one may contact the Music Department at (870) 972-2094.
