Black River Tech connects in more than education

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -Black River Tech’s Paragould campus held the Season of Sharing food drive Nov. 30.

It’s purpose is to help feed those in town who need a little help.

Director of Student Affairs at BRTC Amanda Dobbs said that the school is trying to be more connected with the community and show students that they’re more than educators.

“Like the ultimate way of giving back to our community, making sure that we’re providing not just an education but for the basic needs that they have," Dobbs said. "And let them know that we care about them.”

But giving back isn't all they're doing...

They brought in Santa and Mrs. Claus in to help bring Christmas cheer to kids looking for a chance to ask for a present this year.
