PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - A new event happening this holiday season is something some hope becomes a Christmas tradition.

It's the Paragould Boutique Christmas Crawl.

Fifteen local stores are participating to help push the “Shop Local” culture.

Here's how it works.

You pick up a punch card at any of the stores, then, you visit each one to get all 15 punches.

Once you hit them all, your card goes into a drawing for a chance to win gift cards to the participating businesses.

It’s a win-win for customers and business owners, business owners say.

"Everybody wants to work together to get new people in their stores," Co-Owner of Tiny Twig Trevor Gramling said. "This is not as much of a competition thing, but everybody looks at it as like a chance to get new people in your store that may have never been there."

The event is Saturday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Gramling said the businesses will offer deals and specials of their own and refreshments while you shop.
