BATESVILLE, AR (KAIT) -A group of students stepped up to spend their spare time helping the community they live in.

The L-U ARK 4H group in Bethesda created and hosted a Haunted History Tour during the month of October.

The students, along with their advisors, dove into research about the downtown Batesville.

They searched through documents and learned the history of Main Street.

The students performed a reenactment of several of the most memorable moments through time.

Groups met at the Coca-Cola mural and then were led on a 2-hour tour downtown.

The Haunted History Tour was a success for the student group.

During Main Street Batesville’s November Board Meeting, several of the students attended and presented the organization with a check for $350.

The group plans to partner with Main Street Batesville to continue the tours.

Several of the students involved with the project said they hope to expand the tour next year and enter into even more downtown buildings.
