JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - This is something you don’t see every day.

When Dara Still couldn’t make it to Jonesboro on Saturday to accept her specialist degree at Arkansas State University’s commencement, commencement came to her.

Blytheville High School posted a video of A-State Chancellor Dr. Kelly Damphousse strolling through the halls Monday morning to Still’s classroom, decked out in his regalia.

When he arrived at her room, he presented Still with a box containing a cap and gown to put on. He then helped her with a sleeve and placed the degree scarf around her neck.

Once she was decked out, Damphousse presented Still her degree and shook her hand as staff and students applauded.

Congratulations to Ms. Still and all the recent A-State graduates.

GR8 job, Dr. Damphousse. You are Region 8.

So this just happened!!! One of our very own teachers, Mrs. Dara Still, received her specialist degree from ASU this weekend. She could not attend the ceremony on Saturday, so this morning, Dr. Kelly Damphousse presented her with her diploma and all regalia in her classroom at BHS!! So proud for you, Mrs Dara Still!!!
