K-9 officer Gabo recovering following Jonesboro apartment shooting

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro Police K-9 officer Gabo is making slow and steady progress after being shot during a standoff at an apartment complex on December 11.
Jonesboro Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 8 gave an update on Gabo's condition on Facebook.
The post stated that Gabo is still in a lot of pain and medicated.
His breathing is getting better and it is not as labored.
At this time, he does not appear to have any sign of infection, although he is battling fever.
The post is asking the community for good thoughts and prayers as Gabo continues to recover.
