Batesville firefighters respond to house fire

BATESVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Batesville fire crews responded to a house fire Dec 17.
According to Batesville Fire Chief Brent Gleghorn, the fire was at a home in the 600-Block of Josephine Drive.
Gleghorn said it appeared the fire began in the garage but the cause is unknown.
When they arrived on scene, he said the fire was fully involved and had moved into the attic above the kitchen.
Assistant Fire Chief Ronnie Painter a man named Matthew Holly was in the house at the time of the fire.
In an attempt to save his dog, Holly was burned and transported to the White River Medical Center.
It took firefighters a couple of hours to secure the area.
