LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) - A fifth flu-related death has been reported in Arkansas this flu season.
According to a weekly report from the Arkansas Department of Health, since Sept. 30, 2018, over 1,600 positive flu tests have been reported to the ADH online database by healthcare providers.
In the week ending on Dec. 15, 46 counties reported flu cases, including Cleburne, Independence, and White.
The report states that the average school absenteeism rate was 5.7% among public schools.
For the week, Arkansas reported “High” ILI (influenza-like illness) intensity to the CDC.
