JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - For friends of felines, it’s a cat-egorically great day at the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society.

For several weeks, the NEAHS cat room has been closed due to an upper-respiratory infection making the rounds.

Since October, the shelter has not been able to adopt out any kitties for fear the highly contagious illness would spread.

But, that all changed at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2.

We open at 11 tomorrow, our cat room re-opens & our January cat adoption special ($20.19) begins! Here are a few pics of the cats currently available at our main shelter at 6111 E. Highland Drive in Jonesboro.
