$1 million bond set for robbery suspect

WEST MEMPHIS, AR (KAIT) - A quick response by West Memphis police has one man in jail facing robbery charges.

According to a post on the West Memphis Police Department Facebook page, Mark Barker went to the Dodge’s convenience store on East Broadway Jan. 17, showed a weapon and robbed the store.

“Officers quickly responded to the scene and Barker was later apprehended by officers of the West Memphis Police Department,” the post noted.

Barker appeared in court Jan. 18 and the $1 million bond was set, police said.
