JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - If you were in downtown Jonesboro Friday night, you might have gotten a chance to take a spin class at Brickhouse Grill- and for a good cause!
The 5th annual St. Bernards Spin-A-Thon took place Friday, with spin classes every 45 minutes starting at 6 that night and ending at 10 p.m.
Participants were able to come and either take a class or just donate and enjoy a drink for a good cause.
“Spin-A-Thon benefits our women’s and children’s services, particularly our NICU- our neonatal intensive care unit- which we’re the only NICU in the region,” said Brenda Million with St. Bernards.
Over 120 people had signed up for the event before 7 p.m. Friday, with even more just donating to the cause.
The classes were all taught by certified spin instructors.
Million said the event has grown every year, and it’s a fun way to get the community involved.
“I hope that they [community members] remember it as a fun event, and I hope they remember they’ve donated to a very good cause and they’ve helped our babies in our community," said Million.
