JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Craighead County Quorum Court held their monthly meeting Monday night.

There were two major items on the agenda.

Members passed an ordinance to create a Judicial Efficiency Committee.

The committee would be comprised of individuals who work within the judicial system and would focus on finding ways to make operations as smooth and efficient as possible.

With the passing of the ordinance, County Judge Marvin Day said they can start getting stakeholders together to formulate how the committee would operate.

An appropriations ordinance was also passed to fund the construction of the Crisis Stabilization Unit.

Judge Day said that $700,000 will be appropriated for the construction project.
